Some kids were loitering in the street just being generally loud and obnoxious - So I moved my tower speakers to the window and filled the street with Mahler .... they left immediately.

.... OK I confess I made that one up, but it would have been neat.

I had a crazy neighbor before. It was about a 40-50 year old guy who was always watching me and trying to look up/down my blouse. Freaky shit. After prior experience with perverts, I knew to never go home or leave alone. Then one day the FBI knocked on my door with a warrant, put me in a hotel for a week for the inconvience, and used my room for surveillance on him. They had me come home and leave as usual. Weird. When they arrested him for inter-state child abuse, I was more than happy for helping.

I live in a cul de sac so I have about 10 neighbouring houses. The houses next door, next door but one and next door but two are the people we know best.

I played with their kids or grandkids when I was small, we never abused their property. When someone's drain's blocked everyone chips in and lends equipment to do it together.
Neighbours sort out times and plans to tame the shrubs that seperate their front gardens.

---

My house also backs onto three other back gardens. Two on the left and one on the left who's back garden goes the length of his next door neightbour, my house and two further houses next to me. We've been friends with them for ages (Elderly couple)

When me and my sister grew out of our slide we passed it over the hedge for their grandchildren to use.
The neighbours to the left of our back garden helped us look for our cat when she went missing.
The house in between them and the elderly couple housed a very nice young family and the father went and served in Iraq. They moved though so their son would be in the catchment area for a school, my old one actually (different road).

---

We now own a total of 8 cats. I wouls say there are no less than 5-7 houses in my cul de sac and the houses next to my garden who also belong to cat owners.
There's a lot of cats down my street

---

This is a picture of my house taken from a helicopter in the late 80's I think. I wasn't older than 6 I know that. It's the house near enough in the middle. Ironically I used to live in the house on the right till we moved when I was 1 and a half lol.
(Excuse the conditions of the gardens in that photo.. everyone was a Hobo in the 80's )

---

All the people who live near us we have connections with. The people who moved into my old house, I played with the little girl till I was 13. Her mother was godmother to a girl I became friends with in primary school, who's grandmother lives 7 doors down from us. The people who helped us find my cat went to the same school as my mum and were friends growing up as well. The people who used to live opposite played with me when I was little, and always invited their younger cousin over. More than ten years on their cousin now lives there and is a frequent drinking pal of my sister's.

---

I'm guess I'm lucky, I've been blessed with good, tolerate friendly neighbours my whole life. People I would concider inviting to my wedding. Here's to them, cheers!

The people in the dorm next to me are from China and don't speak English very well. They are screaming some odd chinese rap song louder than anyone I've ever heard.

You should exact revenge by taking a dump on their lawn.

I live on a cul-de-sac on quiet suburb on a greenbelt, walking distance to a good school with a beautiful view of the mountains. Up until last year when property values started jumping and all of our old neighbors sold and moved life was almost idyllic.

Then they moved in

Now in my neighborhood there is a little boy who is very nice, polite but an extremely lonely child. He comes to my house everyday to play with my son. If my family is not home I tend to be gaming and will not answer the door under any circumstances, this is where issue one starts. The the little boy will come over and ring the doorbell and knock on the door for up to 20 minutes at a time. After he decides that nobody will answer the door he will move on to the gate to the backyard and yells hello for about 5 minutes or so. If he sees an open window he will call out to see if anybody will answer. We have spoken to his parents who said "well he is a very social kid".
WTF a very social kid?

Another old neighbor moved and in moved 4 adults, 9 children and way too many cats. The adults tend to never come outside and let the children some as young as 3 years old run around the neighborhood with out any type of supervision, the kids are playing in the middle of the street which normally would not be a big deal except for the other neighbor that moved out.

In comes the mother cougar and her 2 kids over 20 that all refuse to go any slower than 50 km even when children are playing on the road. I have a feeling that all three are hearing impaired since they are only capable of yelling at each other at 3am.

Now we are thinking that we need to sell and move but it might be too late

My next door neighbor ran right through his sliding glass window one night when he was drunk.

I once lived next to this lady that was 40-50ish that would get absolutely plastered every night. A couple of times she got so drunk she went outside and talked to her plants she had hanging from the porch.

Then i had a neighbor that had a kid that was like 5-8, that slashed all 4 tires on our car. When we went to talk to his mother about it she came to the door half dressed with her pants unzipped and everything showing. They also stole my cat when they moved out.

My parents have many crazy neigbours. When I was younger & lived at home, I remember being concerned by all the strange noises coming from next door. We would here clicking sounds like plugs being pushed into sockets and children running around and screaming. Me and my brother decided that next door lived a man with sockets for limbs, who every night would climb his walls by plugging himself into them. We decided this was the result of some strange rage which overcame him. Obviously the screaming from his chilren was completely acceptable. We named our neighbour socket man. My parents also claim that his mother lives there and that she has a seagulls foot which she ussually keeps well hidden, but from time to time accidentally reveals.
